Searching files and folders
You can search for files and folders by selecting computer(s) and folder(s) to be searched on the Network tree or by entering the computers' IP address range on the IP Range tab.
Searching by Network tree
To begin searching for files and folders by Network tree:
- In the left frame of the program's window, click on the Network tab.
- On the network list, select workgroups and shares to be searched for files or folders.
- In the Search Options frame, enter the search query.
- Click on the Start button to begin search.
Note:
You can expand or collapse haves of the workgroup tree by clicking on the plus or minus sign by the haves.
Tip:
Use the IP Range search when searching a poorly routed network. For instance, if you know that some computer is definitely online and yet you do not see it on your Network tree, try entering its IP address and performing the IP Range search. You are very likely to find files that you need this way.

- On the IP Range tab, enter the top and bottom IP address of computers to be searched.
